Hi, my name is Mesa! I'm a playful pup with adorable white mitten paws, floppy ears, and a fluffy tail. When I get excited, I love to hop around like a bunny and sometimes get the zoomies, racing through the house! I came all the way from New Mexico in search of my forever home. My mom is a pitbull mix, and my dad is a boxer. I'm doing really well with potty training and use the bells on the door to let my foster parents know when I need to go out. I'm also getting more comfortable with my kennel, and we play fun kennel games to make it a positive experience. At night, I sleep in my kennel in my foster parents' bedroom. I've already mastered "sit" and am working on "stay," "place," "come," and "down." I'm also improving my recall, impulse control, and focus, and my biggest motivators are treats and toys! I share my foster home with a 4-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy with special needs, and a 14-year-old girl who enjoys my snuggles. I haven't met any cats yet, but I live with three dogs: a large, couch-potato Pitbull, a senior Pitbull who prefers I don't get in her face, and a medium Pitbull mix who loves to play with me. I can be a bit dominant when scared but am submissive when I'm comfortable. I love walks and playing tag with my doggy friends! I'm easy to train, relaxed, give great snuggles, and love kids. My dream day involves toys and playtime with friends! I'm like Air Bud because I love to jump and play, and I'm eager to learn. My favorite toys are my stuffies and hard chew toys, especially my kangaroo and my raccoon with a crinkly tail. While I love to play all day, I also enjoy a good snuggle now and then. Playing with friends makes my tail wag the hardest! My dream family would have a big yard for me to run and play in, other doggy siblings, kids, and lots of toys!
