About Nora

Nora is a 2-year-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix weighing 32 pounds with a beautiful caramel-colored coat and an endless love for life. She is extremely social and gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, men, and women. Nora is full of energy and happiness; she loves to run, play, and stay active all day long. Nora's story began in Houston, where she and her sisters were found as tiny 3-month-old puppies struggling to survive on the streets. Tragically, two of her sisters were killed before help arrived. Nora and one surviving sister were rescued just in time and given the chance at a safe and loving life. Despite her difficult start, Nora has grown into a joyful, affectionate, and playful dog who is ready to leave the past behind and find a forever family of her own.

Ideal Home

A family that enjoys outdoor activities and can give her plenty of playtime and attention. She needs a house with a fenced backyard. Families should have an open conscience about the rescue of street animals and their need for protection and education, with experience in dog behavior and training background, and high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.

Ongoing Health

Nora has been spayed/neutered and is up-to-date on DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. She has been dewormed, and has a heartworm test certificate and health certificate. She comes with a vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Nora is not house-trained. The rescue understands that housing training is a difficult job for a busy rescue and asks for patience and understanding.
