Ferrari, a 3-year-old, 50 lb bundle of joy, is a very friendly dog with medium energy. He's content spending his days napping, soaking up the sun, or supervising your household chores. His previous family reported that he's friendly with dogs, cats, and children. Ferrari tends to ignore the resident cats and enthusiastically wags his tail at the sight of a school bus, hinting at a happy past of greeting kids returning from school.
He's generally quiet throughout the day, becoming more animated for walks or mealtime. While he may express some vocalizations when left alone, his foster family is actively working on this. Ferrari is a well-behaved boy who respects his toys and doesn't engage in destructive chewing or stealing. He's never damaged anything during his foster stay. He already knows commands like "sit," "lie down," and "come," and is eager to learn more from a willing teacher. He's still perfecting his off-leash manners but is improving daily. Ferrari absolutely adores car rides, hugs, and meeting new people, treating everyone like an old friend! He enjoys long hikes, though he's still gaining experience, he's a fast learner. He can get overheated easily, so he'll need some protective clothing and water when the temperature is above 80°F. He's happy to carry his own water in his beloved backpack on hikes, and on shorter walks, a water bottle is provided if it's hot. He's also comfortable in his crate if you plan on leaving him for a bit.
