Bear

Meet Bear! This incredibly resilient and loving little guy is ready to finally find his forever family. He's been through a lot, and while not all of his past is known, it led him to us in rough condition. Upon arrival, he was treated for a severe skin infection and was noticeably very thin.

Bear is currently receiving 2-3 medicated baths a week, and he's a perfect gentleman during his baths, allowing the shampoo to sit for the full 10 minutes without any fuss. He walks wonderfully on a leash, knows "sit" and "paw," is very food and treat motivated, and has shown signs of possible house training. While he may not appear physically perfect right now, his heart is full of love, and his personality is truly precious. If you're looking for a little guy who just needs some extra TLC to get fully back on his feet, Bear will make all your efforts worthwhile.

Bear is food and treat motivated, knows "sit" and "paw," and shows potential for house training. He walks wonderfully on a leash.

Bear is located at Hanover County Animal Protection in Ashland, VA. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM by appointment only.
