My name... is Optimus Prime :) I am a 4-year-old, 46-lb, pitty mix boy. I was found by animal control all alone and unable to walk due to a spinal injury. Luckily for me, a rescue decided to save me and help me heal from my injuries. Fortunately, I did not require surgery. Unfortunately, I will always struggle with incontinence. I also get sores on my legs and underside from dragging my back end, and that will need monitoring and occasional treatment. I have mobility assist straps and a wheelchair that will come with me. I enjoy going on walks and car rides too! I get along with everyone I meet, and I love to snuggle. I am super handsome, and I have the cutest, pittie smile that will win over even the grumpiest human.
Ideal Home
I will need a house setting, a fence is not required and an apartment would be A-OK! All I want to do is hang out near my people and snuggle whenever possible. My new owners are going to need to be willing to put in the work to use a system that operates around diapering and cleaning up the accidents in the house that are most likely going to occur. My person will need to be able to lift 50 pounds, since I have mobility challenges. I am great with other dogs my size or larger and I even like cats! I love kids of all ages. I have also lived on a farm with goats, chickens, and ducks and done great with them!
Ongoing Health

Transporation
I am located in Springfield, MO. We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out.
