Hello there! I'm Aoki, a super-duper pup with big, expressive brown eyes and a mask that makes me look like a superhero! I've got a fun-loving spirit and I love to bounce around like I'm in my own personal "Happy Feet" performance. When I get really excited, I might let out a little snort, which my foster mom finds absolutely adorable!
I had a bit of a rough start in life, coming from a shelter in Texas where sadly, many animals don't get a second chance. But thanks to the wonderful people at Save-A-Bull, I made it out and am now ready to find my forever home!
I'm doing really well with potty training and am mostly reliable, though I might have an occasional accident as I gain confidence. I'm getting lots of praise and treats for doing my business outside, and I've even learned to go potty on a leash! My kennel is becoming a safe and cozy space for me, and while I might whine a little before settling down at night, it's not for long. I sleep soundly in my kennel with my favorite stuffed buddy and cozy blankets.
I'm a smart cookie and have already mastered "sit" and "come"! I'm also working on eye contact and, most importantly, learning what it means to be a happy, well-adjusted puppy. I've learned to self-soothe with a special blue stuffed toy, a gift from my human foster brother. I think attending some training classes together would be a fantastic way for us to bond and for me to learn even more. Watching me understand something new for the first time is truly amazing – my biggest motivators are TREATS and LOVE!
Ideal Home
I live with kids aged 7, 10, 12, and 15 in my foster home, and I adore them! However, I can be a little jumpy, so I'd do best in a home with humans aged 12 and older. I haven't met any cats yet, so that's a new adventure waiting to happen. I also live with two dogs: a big 96lb brother and a six-month-old sister. I tend to be a bit dominant and enjoy wrestling and playing energetically with my sister. My big brother finds my energy a bit much, so we don't play together often. I'd thrive in a confident home that has experience with dogs, is patient, and can provide strong leadership, which I really need to help me grow and excel. I need a home that can keep me busy and help me work through my anxiety.

I'm a quick learner and motivated by treats and love! I've mastered "sit" and "come" and am working on new skills daily. I'm also learning to be more confident and manage my energy. I need a home that can help me work on my anxiety and provide consistent structure.
