Joshy has arrived in Maine and is a certified good boy! He is potty trained and fairly chill for a puppy. He likes to go out and run around in the yard but will then come inside and nap. He loves to play with toys, particularly ones that are stuffy and squeaky. Joshy is good with the five other dogs in his foster home; he likes to play with them but is pretty respectful if they tell him no thanks. He loves to do somersaults and roll in the grass. Cats are unknown, but he could likely be trained to leave a cat alone. He is curious and likes to be with his people. Joshy is a little skittish when meeting new people; he isn't aggressive, just retreats and warms up quickly once he knows he's safe. He is very good with his 6-year-old daughter, but likely would do best in a home with kids aged 8+ who can respect him and give him time to warm up. He is estimated to be about 4-5 months old by our partners down south, but his foster mom believes he's likely closer to 6-7 months old. Based on appearance, his foster mom guesses he might be a mix of Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and Redbone Coonhound. He's currently around 30 lbs and needs to gain some weight, with an estimated ideal weight of around 50 lbs. Joshy is an overall sweet, loving, easy older puppy.
Ideal Home
A fenced-in yard isn't required but it would be a bonus as he loves to run around. A home with another dog is highly recommended, as he seems to gain confidence from other dogs and really enjoys playing with them.

Training & Support
Joshy is potty trained. He is a little skittish when meeting new people and may retreat initially, but warms up quickly once he feels safe.
