Sugar

Sugar is a beautiful 2-year-old girl who found herself abandoned and alone. Despite her tough start, she's as sweet as her name suggests and is looking for a loving and committed family to show her how wonderful life can be. With her striking auburn coat and soulful eyes, Sugar is a real beauty who's ready to sparkle in her new home. She may be a bit shy at first, especially around some men, but with patience and gentle introductions, her affectionate and kissy side will shine through.

Sugar would thrive in a home where she can feel secure and build trust. She can be fearful of some men and may try to run away, so a patient adopter who understands her needs is essential.

Sugar is a healthy girl, approximately 2 years old.

Training & Support

Sugar can exhibit barrier reactivity towards other dogs and people when she's behind a fence. She may also react to other barking dogs when on leash. These behaviors can be improved with consistent training and desensitization. Due to her past abandonment, she can be clingy and anxious, requiring patience as she learns to feel secure and trust.

Transporation

Sugar is located in NYS. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet her. We do not transport or ship dogs.
