Shelby Dawn is a delightful 1-year-old Australian Kelpie and Labrador mix who is looking for her forever home. She's a sweet and loving girl, weighing around 35 lbs and standing about 16 inches tall. Shelby Dawn was surrendered due to her owner's housing situation and is eager to find a family who can give her the space and attention she deserves. She loves car rides and is always up for an adventure!

Ideal Home

Shelby Dawn would thrive in a home with more room to run and play, and with more people to shower with affection. She enjoys a farm-like atmosphere and has shown a particular fondness for horses, sheep, and especially cows. She is very attached to people, and while this makes her a wonderful companion, it also means she experiences separation anxiety. A home where she won't be left alone for extended periods would be ideal.

Training & Support

Shelby Dawn is semi-potty trained and is still working on asking to go outside. Overnight, she is still using puppy pads, but with consistent reinforcement, she is learning quickly. She is an extremely smart and attentive dog who loves to learn. She knows how to give paw, shake, and sit. She can be a bit hyper at times and has a tendency to be spoiled, especially when she forms a strong attachment. Patience and positive reinforcement will be key to helping her manage her separation anxiety and continue her house-training journey.
