DUKE

Duke is a charming blue merle Miniature American Shepherd with a birthdate around May 2024 and weighs 28 lbs. He's had a bit of a rough start, bouncing between homes and even spending some time on his own with his half-brother. Despite his past, Duke is blossoming and learning to trust, always sporting a smile. He can be a little shy initially and is working on not being head-shy, but he's eager to please and loves cuddles. Duke is a happy and energetic boy who sometimes uses his back legs like pogo sticks, especially when he gets excited! He's also a handsome fellow with striking blue eyes.

Ideal Home

Duke needs a home with another energetic dog or two to be his playmates and provide guidance. He requires a fenced yard and a family that enjoys exercise and can keep up with his energy. Due to his herding breed nature, children should be at least eight years old. While he may do well with a cat, introductions will need to be managed carefully.

Ongoing Health

Duke is current on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm free and on preventative, microchipped, and wormed.

Training & Support

Duke is making good progress with his basic training, including house training with a doggy door. He's a smart and quick learner, especially when motivated by food. He enjoys toys and playing keep away. Continuing his training and socialization is essential for him to reach his full potential.
