Maiz - URGENT

Maiz is a sweet 1-year-old Labrador mix who urgently needs a foster or adoptive home to recover from an upper respiratory infection. She's currently at the Kern County Animal Services shelter in Bakersfield, a place that is overcrowded and puts her at risk. Maiz has been with the shelter since June 11, 2026, and is ready to leave this stressful environment for a safe and quiet place.

Maiz needs a calm and caring environment where she can rest and heal. As she is recovering from an illness, a home that can provide close monitoring and quiet is ideal.
