Meet Sally!
Sally is a 30-pound bundle of pure, unconditional love who firmly believes that personal space is overrated. She's a professional cuddler and a full-time love bug, eager to be as close to her people as physically possible. If your dream dog wants to be your shadow, Sally is the one for you!
Sally's journey to finding her forever home was not an easy one. She was found living under a trailer with her puppies, having been neglected by her previous owner. She wandered the neighborhood searching for food for herself and her babies, with kind neighbors stepping in to help. Thankfully, those neighbors were able to take her in, and now Sally is safe and sound in a loving foster home, leaving her difficult past behind.
Sally is wonderfully affectionate and adores everyone she meets, especially children. She also gets along well with other dogs, though she appreciates slow and proper introductions. Once she's comfortable, she's happy to make friends, but she'd also be content as an only pet, as people are truly her favorite.
Like the smart cattle dog she is, Sally learns quickly. She has mastered potty training and leash walking with ease. She's currently working on crate training, but it's not her favorite activity, and she's surprisingly good at escaping! However, she has been trustworthy in the house and hasn't shown destructive behaviors, so she may not need to be crated once she's settled.
Though estimated to be only about a year old, Sally has an old soul. Her challenging start in life has given her a calm and appreciative outlook. She's happy to join you for any adventure, from hikes and road trips to neighborhood walks, but her greatest joy is coming home to curl up with her favorite people. Sally has endured enough uncertainty; now she needs a family who will love her as fiercely as she'll love them.
