Hoot

Meet Hoot, a fun-loving and active young pup who was born in December 2024. Hoot absolutely thrives on outdoor time and playtime, and he'd be happiest with a canine companion to romp around with. He settles in nicely at night, often choosing to sleep right beside the bed. Hoot has been accident-free in his foster home and is crate trained. He even has free-roam privileges when his foster is away because he's such a good boy!

Ideal Home

Hoot would do best in a home with a playful canine companion. He can be a little shy and skittish if approached too quickly and may be slightly stand-offish while building trust, so he'll need a patient adopter who understands that confidence comes with time and consistency. A secure fenced yard and continued leash or harness use in public will help him feel safe as he continues gaining confidence.

Ongoing Health

Hoot's adoption fee of $200 includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, and a health exam by a veterinarian within 10 days of adoption. He will be current on flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Hoot walks well on a leash and is just beginning his basic obedience training. He does well with other dogs and is okay with cats, though he can be curious.

• All dogs are fostered in Texas or Pennsylvania but available for adoption and transport out of state.
• The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call.
• The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport.

Transportation

Hoot is currently fostered in Fort Worth, Texas, but is available for transport to a predetermined location agreed upon by Wags.
