Groot is a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd who is urgently in need of a foster or adoptive home to help him recover from an upper respiratory infection. He has been at the Kern County Animal Services shelter since April 21, 2026, and is ready to leave the stressful shelter environment behind for a comfortable and safe place. He is a large dog with a medium coat, and while his breed is German Shepherd, he may have some other wonderful traits mixed in!
