RueBee is a sweet, gentle, and steady pup who came to us as a stray with a severe skin infection. After extensive testing and specialist consultation, RueBee was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called Canine Familial Dermatomyositis. This condition affects the skin, muscles, and blood vessels and, while not curable, it is manageable. It can mean trial and error, frequent check-ins, and days without clear answers. However, RueBee is so much more than her diagnosis! She connects with people instantly and is the perfect companion, quietly deciding you're her person and ensuring you never feel alone. She enjoys watching birds, gets the zoomies, loves cheese, and thrives on being close to her humans. She's always present but never demanding, sleeping at your feet, following you from room to room, and checking in to make sure she hasn't been left behind. RueBee is a true friend, a trooper, and chooses joy despite her challenges. Her foster mom envisions a life for RueBee with someone who understands caregiving as a form of love, someone who is home often and finds meaning in simple moments together. RueBee will offer tail wags, play bows, pounces, and a quiet trust that feels like an honor to earn. She will love you deeply and, in her own way, take care of you too.
Ideal Home
RueBee would thrive with someone who is home often and desires a devoted companion. She finds meaning in small moments and wants to be part of whatever you're doing.
Ongoing Health
