Bernard

Bernard is an approximately 2-year-old pit bull mix, around 40 pounds, with a white coat, fawn markings, and the most remarkable ears you've ever seen. He came to us from the Richmond Animal Control in January and has spent the last months becoming a well-mannered, loving dog who is deeply bonded to his people. Bernard has completed an intensive training program including a three-week board and training with professional trainers. He walks beautifully on a leash, knows his commands, and is affectionate and playful with the people he trusts.

Ideal Home

Bernard is looking for a very specific kind of home. He needs an adopter who understands reactivity, has experience managing a dog with a bite history, and can provide structure, clear routines, and patient leadership. Bernard is not a dog for a first-time owner, a home with other pets, or a home with young children.
