Meet Zeke! This handsome 3-year-old American Akita is looking for an experienced owner who understands the breed. Zeke is a dog who truly makes you earn his trust, and he doesn't offer immediate friendship or free passes. Belly rubs won't win him over initially; instead, respecting his space is key. However, Zeke is very food-motivated, so consistent feeding, watering, and daily walks will quickly help you build a bond and become his trusted human. Zeke and another dog, Zoey, were unfortunately abandoned by backyard breeders in North Carolina. We believe Zeke will blossom into a loving and protective companion for the right person.
