Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a handsome 2-3 year old, 80lb Labrador Retriever mix. He was found in a tough situation, but after months of dedicated medical care, he's made a remarkable recovery and his spunky personality is shining through! Sherpa is the epitome of a working dog – intelligent, focused, and with a dash of independence. He's a friendly guy who enjoys the company of people and similar-sized dogs. However, he often prefers to follow his own curiosity or dive into a task. Sherpa is eager to please and while he's still maturing and learning his social skills, he's a very sweet boy.

Sherpa is looking for a home that can help him continue to develop his social skills and provide him with engaging activities.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa is a heartworm survivor and has made a full recovery. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

To further support Sherpa's journey, he's been attending Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, where he's excelling in scent work and improving his communication skills. His adopter will receive 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct's trainers (available in-person for those in NYC or willing to travel, or virtually from anywhere) to ensure a smooth transition.

Sherpa is currently looking for foster placement in the NYC or surrounding areas. He is available for local or out-of-state adoption, provided the adopter can travel to meet him.
