Rex is a joyful, playful, and energetic Cattle Dog Mix who is approximately 3 years old and weighs around 35 lbs. He was rescued as a young pup and has spent his life waiting for a family to call his own. Rex is sweet and enjoys being near his people, though he's not overly clingy. He has a fun personality and is always up for an adventure! He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and people, and he's an intelligent boy who is eager to learn. Rex walks well on a leash and is crate trained.
Ideal Home
Rex would thrive with an active and loving family that enjoys outdoor activities like running, hiking, and including him in everyday adventures. He needs a family willing to give him structure, patience, and love, and who understands the needs of rescued animals. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Rex has received a comprehensive health protocol including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive (fleas, ticks, and heartworm). He also comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Rex is not currently house-trained, and this will be a priority for his new family. Potential adopters should have experience with dog behavior and training, and a high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
