Hi, I'm Pepé! I'm a 3-year-old sweet boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. My past hasn't always been easy, and I came into the shelter needing a little extra care, but despite everything, I wake up every day ready to enjoy life! You'll usually find me zooming around the yard, chasing birds, splashing in water, or proudly patrolling for anything suspicious. I also love a good ball (especially squeaky ones!), and I'm not shy about sharing my thoughts with a few classic husky "talks." I'm a resilient boy who is still learning that the world is a safe place, and I'm making progress every day. I get excited about learning sessions, especially when cheese is involved, and I've been working hard on basics like "sit" and starting to understand "come," even when my husky ears are fully activated.
Ideal Home
I enjoy other dogs and often gain confidence from having them around. I can be friendly with kids, though I may bark or get a bit protective if someone comes near me while I’m eating or if I’m very attached to a favorite toy. I haven't shown those behaviors around adults, and overall I'm just figuring out how to feel secure while I share my things. Experienced adopters are recommended for northern breeds due to their higher exercise, training, and care requirements.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
I'm still working on crate training and being comfortable when left alone. When I'm with my people or other dogs, I settle in much more easily, and I'm continuing to learn that being alone is okay too. I’m fully house trained, and I’m proud to say I’m catching on more and more each day with structure and patience.
