Freyja is a loving, goofy, and loyal 4.5-year-old bully mix, weighing around 70 pounds. She truly lives for her people and is a "Velcro dog" who wants to be by your side, whether cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or joining you on adventures. She has an incredible personality – playful, affectionate, and full of heart. Freyja adores humans and thrives on connection and attention, happiest when included as part of the family and given lots of love. She enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor time but isn't overly high-energy, making her a great match for a moderately active home. She's also very food-motivated, which makes her fun to train and eager to learn. This decision has been incredibly difficult for her current family, and they are committed to finding her the right forever home where she can thrive and be deeply loved.
Ideal Home
Freyja would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She should not be placed with smaller dogs. Older children or an adult-only home would be a good fit.
Ongoing Health
Freyja had a TPLO surgery to repair a torn ACL and is fully recovered. Her current pet insurance with Embrace can be transferred to a new owner.
Training & Support
Freyja is food-motivated and responsive during training. She can be reactive to other dogs on leash but improves with guidance. She would benefit from continued training and confidence-building. There was a past stress-related bite incident involving another dog (no humans involved), and a separate incident where another dog initiated an attack on Freyja.
