Meet Ivan, the Iconic goofball with a heart as big as his radar-dish ears! This 1.5-year-old, 50-pound pittie/staffy mix is a lovable whirlwind of enthusiasm and sweet charm. Ivan adores all toys, especially his herding ball, and is a huge fan of fetch, though he might occasionally decide to keep the ball for himself! He also loves to splash around, making him the star of any summer yard. Ivan is a treat-motivated learner who warms up quickly, transitioning from a bit aloof to a total snuggle bug. He's eager to please and loves to learn, making training a rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playtime but can also set boundaries. He needs a feline-free household, as he sees cats as fun chase targets. While he's sweet with humans, his energetic nature and zoomies make him best suited for older children who can handle his exuberance. He'd be a fantastic addition to a large family and could learn to give younger children space with time and guidance. A yard to burn off energy, an active adopter, and a home that enjoys training and play with clear boundaries and routine are essential for him.
Ongoing Health
Ivan is a healthy, energetic boy.
Training & Support
Ivan loves other dogs and is a great playmate, but he's still learning to read social cues. He can get a little too excited with playful dogs and can be a bit much for mellow or insecure dogs. He responds well to clear guidance from other dogs and his people when he needs to take a break. He is treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a fun and rewarding experience.
