What’s better than one perfect pup? Two perfect senior pitizens who would love to stay together and bring double the love to your home! Callan and Shasta spent six months in a foster home and would love to find their way back into a comfy home environment. The shelter is no place for a senior pooch! We asked Callan and Shasta what their “must haves” are in a future home- here’s what they told us: Attention and snuggles in abundance, plenty of soft spots for snoozing, squeaky toys, squeaky toys, squeaky toys (Callan’s personal request), a place or two for sunbathing, and butt scritches, smooches, and snuggles.
One volunteer said, “I instantly fell in love with Callan and Shasta because they’re both SUPER SWEET and SUPER LOVABLE. These cute nuggets are adored by staff and volunteers because of their friendly and tolerant dispositions. They have great attitudes and are very easy to handle, leash and walk. They were even cooperative while receiving their vaccinations. They are happy, lively, eager for attention, and they gladly welcome any amount of treats you may want to offer them (and they take them very gently). They are also well-behaved, mild-mannered, entertaining, and great at taking naps.”
Callan and Shasta share their shelter kennel politely. When meeting other dogs in playgroup, Shasta has been tolerant and easygoing, and Callan has been independent. A meet and greet with any resident dogs is recommended to ensure a good fit.
