Little Josie has a big heeler personality wrapped up in a small package! She's a busy dog, always on the go and ready for a job. She loves to herd people and other dogs, and will sometimes nip heels. Josie enjoys jogging alongside a bicycle in appropriate weather and is always up for more games when she gets home. She loves to catch her Frisbee, though she's still working on bringing it back! Josie can be a bit pushy, but she responds well to commands and respects consistent boundaries. She sleeps and eats in her crate without any issues.
Ideal Home
Josie is looking for an active adopter with heeler experience who can give her the life she craves and deserves. She needs a home that is ready for an athletic, smart, and busy dog. Couch potatoes will not be a good match for Josie. If you're ready to hike, bike, run, or do dog sports, Josie is your gal! Because she can nip and may guard her food, we'd prefer to match Josie in a home without small children. Josie also seems to get car sick, so she won't be able to be a road dog without more desensitization in the car.
Ongoing Health
Josie is 11 months old, weighs just under 30 pounds, and has a long, natural tail. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Josie tested negative for heartworms and is currently on heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Josie needs a dog parent to provide her with boundaries and guidance. She is a nipper and can protect her food, so consistency is key.

- Our adoption fees are: puppies under one year old $350; adults 1-7 years old $300; seniors 8+ years old $150. For seniors 8+ years old, adopters 60+ will have a fee of $100.
- Our dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm tested before entering a new home.
- We conduct a home visit to help match up the right dog with the right owner.
