Petal is a sweet Beagle girl who has blossomed beautifully since arriving at Alaqua. While she was initially a bit shy, she's become much more outgoing and enjoys gentle attention from her favorite people, especially when she can approach on her own terms. Petal is a curious explorer and loves to investigate her surroundings. As a Beagle from Ridglan Farms, she has the incredible determination and sense of smell that this breed is known for – when she catches a scent, following it is pure instinct! Petal is affectionate and resilient, and she's ready to experience all the joys life has to offer beyond the lab.

Ideal Home

Petal is a flight risk due to her skittish nature and strong Beagle instincts. A securely fenced yard is a must to keep her safe. Her determination and incredible sense of smell mean she will follow a scent wherever it leads, so secure containment is key.

Ongoing Health

Petal is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Petal will occasionally try to hide her food or treats. This is a natural dog behavior, but it's important to monitor her interactions with other animals to prevent it from developing into resource guarding. Continuing to provide positive, low-stress experiences around food will help her feel secure and prevent any escalation.
