DOUGAL

Dougal is a wonderful 2-year-old Sheepadoodle weighing in at approximately 75 lbs. He's an incredibly nice, easy-going, and laid-back fellow who gets along famously with other rescue dogs. His foster family often forgets he's even around because he's so well-behaved! Dougal isn't a fan of the midday heat and prefers to relax indoors in the air conditioning. However, as the day cools down, he loves to go outside to play with his friends, enjoy a chew treat, and enthusiastically chase squirrels.

Ideal Home

Dougal would thrive in a home with a fully fenced and secure yard. We do not adopt to households with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Dougal previously tested positive for heartworms and has completed treatment according to the American Heartworm Society's protocols. We typically see dogs test negative for heartworms within 4 to 6 months post-treatment.

Training & Support

Dougal appears to be quite well-house trained. He is also leash trained, though he does tend to pull and would benefit from a handler with a strong and consistent approach.
