Meet Chad (aka Chaz), a two-year-old, 12lb sweetheart with the softest eyes and an even softer heart once he feels safe. Chad is best described as a sweet and fun cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to his people, whether that's curled up on the couch, snuggled in bed, or being carried around like the little prince he is. He can be a bit unsure in new situations at first, especially out in the city, but once he warms up he opens up beautifully, greeting new people on his walks and even handling visitors at the door with calm alertness. He gets along well with another dog in the home and loves playtime with dogs his own size. Chad has also found real comfort in his crate, which he seeks out on his own as his safe space.
Ideal Home
Chad would thrive with a patient adopter who understands he's still healing from some past trauma, particularly around handling and being coaxed out of tight spaces, and who's willing to go slow, get down on his level, and build trust through structure and consistency. He's not a hiking buddy or an outdoorsy adventurer; he's much happier as a devoted lap dog in a calm, moderate household, and he'd settle in wonderfully to apartment living.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Chad can be a bit unsure in new situations at first. He needs a patient adopter who is willing to go slow, get down on his level, and build trust through structure and consistency. He does best when he has his own things, like his favorite squeaky plush toys, and a little time before sharing them.
