MAMBO

Mambo is a senior gentleman with a whole lot of personality packed into one sturdy frame. Outside of stressful situations, staff have seen a playful, affectionate side to him that is honestly pretty charming. He enjoys wandering around grassy runs, rolling happily in the grass to scratch his back, sniffing around at his own pace, and seeking out affection with loose tail wags and friendly approaches. He even engaged in little games of chase with staff and happily greeted familiar people with wiggly excitement. Mambo feels like the kind of dog who still has plenty of spark left in him despite entering his golden years. He deserves the chance to spend the rest of his life surrounded by kindness, comfort, soft grass to roll in, and people who understand that older dogs still deserve happy endings too.

Ideal Home

Mambo would do best with an experienced adopter or rescue willing to provide continued veterinary care, patience, and a calm environment where he can feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Mambo does have significant medical concerns, including a very large mass that may be contributing to discomfort and occasional sensitivity, especially in stressful or overstimulating situations. Staff have noted that he can become defensive when uncomfortable or unsure, which is understandable given what he is physically dealing with.

Training & Support

Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
