Tipper Tater is an approximately 1-year-old, 14 lb bundle of unique charm! With one warm brown eye and one striking ocean-blue eye, and ears that seem to capture every whisper, he's a dog who truly stands out. We believe he might be a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, but with rescues, the breed and age are always a delightful mystery! Tipper has a gentle, quiet presence that makes him a calming companion. He's not a demanding dog, but is simply happy to be nearby, taking everything in. He's a "slow burn" who prefers to observe and learn about his people before offering his trust, making those moments of connection incredibly meaningful.
Ideal Home
Tipper would thrive in a lower-energy home with a calmer environment. He's looking for a predictable routine and a safe place to bloom. A home with a yard would be ideal over apartment living, and his ideal humans will understand his need to move at his own pace, celebrating each small victory.
Ongoing Health
Tipper has no known health issues. His adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and spay/neuter surgery.
Training & Support
Tipper is crate trained and very quiet in his crate. He is also potty trained and has been a wonderful houseguest. He enjoys treats and takes them gently. He shows interest in toys, though he's still figuring out how to play with them. He's a sensitive soul who needs a patient and understanding home to help him feel fully comfortable and secure.

Transportation
Tipper is located in Texas. Transport is available nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
