About Polly

Meet Polly, a delightful 38lb Cattle Dog Retriever mix who embodies the spirit of a playful puppy with the sweetest disposition. She's spayed, vaccinated, and up-to-date on all preventatives, making her all set for her new forever home. Polly has a gentle, easygoing nature and loves being involved in her people's activities.

Polly's heart is truly that of a forever puppy! She adores her toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a happy, bouncy energy when it's time for fun. She's always eager to join in if another dog invites her to play. She has also been successfully introduced to children aged 6 and above. We do not have any information regarding her interactions with cats.

While Polly enjoys playtime, she's actually a rather low-energy dog overall. She's just as content to relax and cuddle as she is to romp with a toy. She is affectionate, loves to snuggle, and wants to be close to her people. She can be a bit shy when meeting new individuals, but she quickly warms up once she feels secure.

Polly exhibits excellent house manners and is both house-trained and crate-trained for up to six hours. She travels well in the car and shows no signs of resource guarding or food aggression. She is currently working on her leash manners and may pull occasionally, but due to her smaller size, she is manageable as she continues to learn.

Like many young dogs, Polly is still learning the ropes of home life and will benefit from a patient adopter committed to providing ongoing guidance. Because she can sometimes get into things when left unsupervised, she should be crated when alone. With consistency and routine, she will undoubtedly continue to thrive.

Polly is a truly wonderful dog who will flourish in almost any home. Whether you're a family, a couple, or someone seeking a devoted companion, Polly has an abundance of love to give. With a little time to adjust to a new routine, she will become a cherished and loyal best friend.
