Meet Frankie Eugenie!
Frankie is a handsome 3-year-old brindle boy with a heart full of loyalty and a zest for life! This long, tall, and charming fellow weighs about 65lbs and has a birthday of May 1st. He's a true toy enthusiast, especially when it comes to balls, and loves to carry his favorites around. Frankie is incredibly happy, friendly, and cuddly, always ready to offer a nudge for attention and pets. He walks like a dream on leash, never pulling, and thoroughly enjoys zooming around the yard. When it's time to unwind, he's happy to lounge on the grass or snuggle up close. He's a natural in the car, preferring the window seat for all his adventures. Frankie also has excellent recall and loves being off-leash in secure areas. He's a true outdoor lover, which makes sense given he spent his last year prior to rescue living outside. He's also been great with other dogs, showing sweet, playful, or indifferent behavior even when encountering jealousy. Frankie has adjusted wonderfully to his foster family and has met several neighbors, friends, and family members with fantastic introductions, quickly becoming wiggly, playful, and affectionate after initial muzzle introductions.
Ideal Home
Frankie would thrive in a home with adults 18 and older, as he has had no experience with children and has previously startled when approached unexpectedly by a child. He also needs a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Frankie has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, dewormed, and is current on flea and tick treatment. He is microchipped and has tested positive for heartworm and Lyme's disease. He has completed initial treatment for these conditions and has additional medication available if needed for flare-ups.
Training & Support
Frankie knows all his basic commands and is house-trained, muzzle-trained, and crate-trained, never barking when crated. He is generally a quiet dog, only growling if he perceives his food is threatened within his kennel. To ensure his comfort and safety, all animals should be fed separately and alone in their crates or individual rooms, with no food left out. While Frankie is comfortable with his caregivers around food and treats, he has growled at strangers attempting to offer him treats, so it's crucial for his new owner to understand and respect his cues, especially regarding food and treats with unfamiliar people.
