Duncan

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, a 1-year-old, 19lb bundle of joy with a typical multiple breed mix, featuring a good dose of Chihuahua! He absolutely loves to play with his squeaky toys and equally enjoys receiving lots of petting and attention. Duncan is a quiet, well-behaved pup who seems to be pretty house-trained and does well on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is ready to fill your home with love and playful energy.

Ideal Home

Duncan would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of affection and playtime. We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms when he was rescued, but he has completed treatment according to The American Heartworm Society protocols. We typically see dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months after treatment. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza, and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is described as pretty well house-trained and does well on a leash, but he could benefit from a little more consistent training to further refine these skills.
