Jessie is a 1-year-old Labradoodle mix with a gentle heart and so much love to give. While she may not be the first dog to run up and greet strangers, those who take the time to earn her trust will discover one of the sweetest, most affectionate companions around. Jessie didn't have the best start in life, coming from a large litter and not being well-cared for during her critical first months. Because of this, she still needs plenty of socialization and confidence-building to help her navigate the world comfortably. When meeting new people, Jessie can be shy and sometimes piddles when she's nervous or overwhelmed. She needs patient adopters who understand that trust takes time and who will allow her to adjust at her own pace. Once she warms up, however, her loving personality shines through. Jessie does well with other dogs and cats and enjoys companionship, feeling most comfortable when she has someone she trusts nearby. Unlike many dogs, Jessie isn't particularly motivated by treats or toys. What she values most is love, attention, and being close to her people. Her favorite place is right at your feet or curled up beside you. She's happiest simply being near the people she loves. Jessie does not enjoy being separated from her people and would thrive in a home where she can be included as part of the family. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
