Meet Dexter, a handsome 6-month-old brindle boy with the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and affectionate cuddles. If you're searching for a loyal companion who's as happy frolicking in the yard as he is snuggling on the couch, Dexter might be the one you've been dreaming of!
Dexter's journey started when he was found as a stray by animal control in Tennessee. Thankfully, he's now safe and sound in a loving southern foster home, where his sweet nature is truly shining as he patiently awaits his forever family. This smart and lovable pup adores his canine foster siblings and would be overjoyed to have a playful dog friend in his new home. He's making great strides with his house training, is already crate trained, and is learning to walk politely on a leash. Dexter has also proven to be an excellent travel companion, remaining calm and quiet in his crate during car rides.
Ideal Home
Dexter would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a family committed to continuing his training and socialization. He'd also do well in a somewhat active environment where he can enjoy plenty of playtime, adventures, and, of course, lots of cuddle sessions with his loved ones.
Ongoing Health
Dexter is up to date on puppy vaccinations and is microchipped. He is too young for heartworm testing, which is typically done at 6 months of age. All vaccinations required after adoption are the adopter's responsibility.
Training & Support
Dexter is making progress with his house training and is already crate trained. He's also learning to walk nicely on a leash. Like any young puppy, Dexter will benefit from a family committed to continuing his training, socialization, and positive reinforcement as he grows into an amazing adult dog. Puppy training and/or behavior classes may be required.
