Meet Violet! This 1.5-year-old AmStaff mix is a true survivor, having overcome a rough start in Houston, TX, to become the sweetest and most loyal companion you could ask for. Despite her past, Violet chooses to trust and is ready to shower her forever family with affection. She's a world-class cuddler who will army crawl across any surface to be near you, with her tongue often sticking out in pure joy. Violet walks beautifully on a leash and is great with dogs of all sizes, often drawing confidence from her canine friends. She's also kid-friendly, though she can be a little timid around loud noises from younger children. Violet knows the "sit" command and is making excellent progress with place and crate training. She has a quirky obsession with hoses and loves a good game of tug, but she is absolutely terrified of squeaky toys.

Violet's ideal home would include another dog to help her continue building confidence. An adopter willing to continue her training and provide a supportive environment will help her thrive. She is kid-friendly but can be a little scared of loud little ones.
