Barstow

Hi there! My name is Barstow! I'm a sweet, silly, and curious pup who's about 10 months old and weighs around 40 lbs. I'm still getting to know the wonderful staff and volunteers here, but I'm already so excited about finding my forever home!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a calm and loving home where I can rest and recover while I undergo heartworm treatment. Once I'm feeling better, I'll be ready to embrace normal dog life with all my might!

Ongoing Health

I recently tested positive for heartworm. Fortunately, this is treatable, and the cost is covered! I'll need a quiet environment to recuperate, but I'm expected to make a full recovery.

Training & Support

As I'm new to the kennel, we're still learning about my behaviors. Many of us here are strays, so we may not be house-trained, and we might not know how to interact with kids, cats, or other dogs. If you have other pets or children, they'll need to join us for a meet-and-greet.

• All available dogs are for direct adoption from the kennel unless otherwise noted.
• Meet-and-greets must be scheduled in advance; we are not accepting walk-ins.
• You can explore our adoptable dogs online to see who might be a good fit before scheduling a meet.
• After filling out a form at wags.com, an adoption counselor will contact you to schedule your meet.
• During your meet, an adoption counselor will introduce you to adoptable dogs, share information we have, and discuss how to best integrate a new dog into your home.
• You are welcome to meet multiple dogs.
• If the dog is already spayed/neutered, they can go home with you the same day. Otherwise, they can go home after their surgery.
