About Dutch
Meet Dutch!
Dutch is a happy, playful pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. If there's fun to be had, Dutch is ready for it! He loves romping around with other dogs and will happily try to convince cats to join in the fun, even if they aren't quite as enthusiastic as he is. Dutch has plenty of energy and confidence when playing. He holds his own with larger dogs and loves an active play session. He can be a little persistent when playtime is over and doesn't always catch subtle signals that another dog is finished, but when corrected, Dutch responds appropriately and will roll over in submission. He currently plays with dogs ranging from 55 to 67 pounds and would thrive in a home with another playful dog who enjoys having a buddy around. A dog that prefers peace and quiet may find Dutch's enthusiasm a bit much! Dutch has also shown interest in cats and wants very badly to play with them. When they run, he chases them, and when they hiss, he barks back, hoping they'll join his game. Because of his playful energy, he may do best with dog-savvy cats who are comfortable around active puppies. Dutch has been wonderful with children. He recently met a 2-year-old child and, although initially shy, quickly warmed up and became curious and interested. He was gentle, never jumped on the child, and showed no signs of aggression. Dutch would likely do well with children of all ages. Dutch hasn't had much leash experience yet, but he is eager to learn and highly trainable. He enjoys being with his people and would likely love going on walks and adventures with his future family. Dutch has a moderate-to-high energy level and would love a home with a yard where he can safely run and play. While he enjoys being outdoors, he's not an independent wanderer; he prefers staying close to his people and being part of whatever they're doing. Whether the home is busy and active or a little calmer, Dutch adapts well as long as he's surrounded by love. If you're looking for a loyal, playful companion who adores people, loves making friends, and is always ready for the next adventure, Dutch may be the perfect addition to your family.

Training & Support
