Nell is a 5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull mix weighing 58 pounds. He's an easygoing best friend who loves both playtime and cuddle time, making him a perfect match for many homes. Nell was found tied in a backyard before arriving at the county shelter in Houston, Texas, and is now in a foster home, safe and sound. He's truly the best boy and is incredibly grateful for his foster family's kindness.
Nell has settled into his foster home effortlessly and has become everyone's favorite laid-back companion. He enjoys playing with his dog friends, soaking up the sunshine in the backyard, or just leaning in for a hug. He's been wonderful with dogs of all sizes, from tiny pups to larger adults, and enjoys a good game of chase or wrestling, but is just as content relaxing beside his canine companions. He doesn't require another dog to be happy, but he would certainly enjoy having one if his new family already has a furry friend.
People are Nell's favorite. He's incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his humans. He's been wonderful with children, greets new people with a wagging tail, and remains calm and friendly even when visitors come into the home. He'll alert you if someone is outside, but once he meets them, he's all smiles. Nell is fully house-trained and has impeccable crate manners, resting quietly and sleeping through the night. He's also a great traveler, riding beautifully in the car.

Nell would thrive in almost any loving home. He'd be happy as an only dog or alongside canine siblings. Whether your weekends are filled with adventures or cozy afternoons on the couch, Nell is simply excited to be part of it all.

Nell is a strong boy on leash and would benefit from continued leash training. Other than that, he's an incredibly easy dog to live with. He's smart, playful, affectionate, independent when needed, and always ready to soak up attention.
