Meet Juice, a sweet and charming 4-year-old neutered Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs about 56 lbs. Juice, or Joey as his foster calls him, has soulful eyes and a heart ready to find safety and love. He's been through a lot and is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle down and be someone's whole world.
Juice is an affectionate boy who enjoys quiet time with his person, often resting his head and paw on your arm as a sweet sign of affection. While he can be shy and wary of new people, gentle introductions help him build trust, and once he does, he becomes deeply loyal. He loves his toys and is generally happy with moderate daily activity.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a quiet home with patient, soft-spoken adults who understand that healing takes time. He needs a home without cats, as he will chase them. He would also be happiest as the only dog in the home, as he prefers his space and can be fearful around unfamiliar dogs, especially near his crate.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression with other dogs, which has been managed by feeding him separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, but this is easily managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on leash when excited and is working on this. He responds best to patience and kindness; harsh correction can make him cower. He is always crated when left alone because he loves to chew. While he has had some potty accidents, he sleeps well in his crate overnight. He may need a little assistance getting into a car but loves rides.

Transportation
Juice is located with his foster family. Transports run every few weeks and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
