Gertrude

Gertrude is a sweet and friendly 11-month-old girl with the makings of a Bloodhound, though her exact mix is a mystery. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and mostly housetrained. Her past was a bit rough; she was abandoned at a shelter in Kentucky with a broken leg. Thankfully, a rescue stepped in and provided her with veterinary care and a loving foster home. She's been on crate rest to heal and was leash-walked for potty breaks, but she's still learning the ropes of walking nicely on a leash. We don't expect her to grow much larger.

Ideal Home

Gertrude would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard. Due to her recent injury and ongoing healing, we don't recommend a home with very young children.

Ongoing Health

Gertrude is recovering from a broken leg. She has received veterinary care and medication, and is currently on crate rest. She is being fed a high-quality dog food to support her recovery and growth.

Training & Support

Gertrude is still working on leash training. Positive reinforcement and patience will be key to helping her succeed.
