Hi there! I'm Misty Mae, a sweet, loyal Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix with a heart full of love. I'm about 1 year old and weigh 38lbs. My foster family says I have a gentle soul, and I was rescued from a gas station, so I'm so happy to have a second chance at life! I'm a wonderful house guest, fully housebroken and kennel trained, and I love a good routine. I'm also pretty smart and food-motivated, so I'm always eager to learn new things – especially if snacks are involved! My favorite thing is being by your side, whether we're going for a walk, running errands, or just relaxing at home. I have a playful side, but I'm just as happy soaking up affection and enjoying a quiet evening. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a little unsure of things, but with patience and love, I've been gaining confidence every day. I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions to new canine friends. Larger dogs can sometimes feel a little overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands this. Transportation
I am located in Houston, TX. Transportation is included in the adoption fee and can take me to you or a neighboring state. Pickup locations for transported dogs may vary. We coordinate with third-party ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for tracking information.
