Meet Mia, a delightful 3.5-year-old spayed female, a charming mix of Pitbull and Retriever! Mia is a very happy girl who loves to snuggle and has a strong desire to please. She was recently adopted but is now seeking a new loving home. In her previous foster home in the US, she lived with her foster dad for over a year and was a wonderful companion. Mia is friendly and enjoys playing games like "chase me" and "try to get my stick," especially with a good piece of wood! She rides great in the car and is described as a loyal, playful, and slightly royal pup, ready to rule your heart.
Ideal Home
Mia would be a perfect companion for an active family who enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and lots of playtime. She would love a home with room to run and ideally, a dedicated pile of branches just for her. While Mia has been friendly with females and enjoys the company of other dogs, she does tend to bark when meeting new men. This behavior is believed to be rooted in fear, and with confidence-building, she can overcome it.
Ongoing Health
Mia is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Mia pulls when walking and would benefit from some leash training. She also barks at new men, which is a fear-based behavior. She is not reactive to them, and with continued confidence-building and consistent positive reinforcement, she can learn to feel more comfortable.
