Checkers

Checkers is a handsome 1 to 2 year old Shih Tzu weighing 13.4 pounds who is ready to leave his past behind and find the loving family he deserves. When Checkers was found as a stray, he was severely matted and covered in thorns. It is hard to imagine what this sweet little guy had been through, but despite everything, he has remained incredibly loving and trusting. After getting cleaned up, groomed, and receiving the care he needed, Checkers has blossomed into a happy, playful boy who enjoys every bit of attention he can get.

Ideal Home

Checkers would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of affection. He has done well with other dogs and children.

Ongoing Health

Checkers is neutered, fully vaccinated, and 4DX negative.

Training & Support

Checkers is potty trained. Cats have not been tested.

Transporation

Checkers is located in McAllen, Texas. He can be transported to the East Coast, primarily serving NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, VT, and NH. Transport to New York or Philadelphia is not available at this time.
