About Clover

Clover came to us as a stray who had suffered an injury to his leg. Sadly, it necessitated an amputation, but he's since healed beautifully and gets around just fine! He's a 50-pound standard poodle mix and a true lovebug who adores snuggling. Clover gets along well with other dogs and older children, but he's a bit too keen on chasing small creatures, so cats are a no-go. He's estimated to be just 1-2 years old and enjoys attention from everyone he meets. Clover is a high-energy boy who would benefit from plenty of exercise or a securely fenced yard to romp in. He's been working on leash manners as he's gained confidence, and he absolutely loves to play fetch with his favorite tennis ball. When he's not actively playing, he enjoys a good marrow bone and active snuggles that involve lots of pets. His adoption fee is $375.

Ideal Home

Clover would thrive in an active home with plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to safely explore and run. He needs a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Clover's leg injury has healed well following amputation. His adoption fee includes all vetting to age, including deworming, flea and tick prevention, and microchipping.

Training & Support

Clover is working on his leash manners and pulling. We highly recommend a 2-week shutdown and decompression period for all new adoptees to help them adjust to their new environment. Housetraining can sometimes be a work in progress with rescue dogs, and an adjustment period should be expected. As an incentive, we offer a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes.
