Meet Ziva! This stunning 3-year-old Rottweiler is about 80 pounds of pure love, just waiting for her perfect human. Ziva's world turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away, leaving her in the backyard for weeks. Thankfully, neighbors stepped in to care for her, and now she's safe and sound in a foster home, ready to start her next chapter. Ziva is a bit of a slow burn, needing time and patience to warm up, but oh-so-worth it! She's a clever girl who loves to play and explore but is also happy to chill when her adventures are done.
Ideal Home
Ziva would thrive with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for a gradual introduction to new people and environments. She'd do best in a home without children, as she needs to feel secure and not overwhelmed. While she's cat-friendly and has lived with multiple cats, she's looking for a home without other dogs or an owner experienced in slow introductions to resident dogs.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
Ziva can be a puller on the leash, so she'd benefit from continued leash training. She's also been exhibiting some resource guarding, so feeding her separately will help ensure a harmonious household. It's important to remember that Ziva is reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks, so continued positive reinforcement and management will be key to her success. She is fully potty trained and has a history of free-roaming in the house without issue.
