Meet Brody – a charming 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix who is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and snuggle expert! He's a lovable goofball who enjoys outdoor fun, and is just as happy melting into your side for a lazy day on the couch. Brody even enjoys dressing up for holidays and themed events – he's all about being with his people, no matter the occasion!
Ideal Home
Brody would thrive in a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can romp and play. He's done well with friendly, laid-back female dogs and would be happy to have a canine companion of the right temperament. He's also content to be your one-and-only pup. Brody has a gentle nature with children and has done well with the kids he's met. However, due to his playful energy and size, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy children (ages 8-10+) who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Brody is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Brody is a healthy boy with no specific health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Brody is housebroken and crate trained and does wonderfully when left unsupervised in his crate. He walks calmly on a loose leash and enjoys strolls. He's smart, food-motivated, and eager to please, making him a joy to train. While he has made great progress with his obedience skills and can adapt well with calm guidance, he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs. He would benefit from a home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement. An adopter with experience with intelligent working breeds like Cattle Dogs or Pitbulls would be a great match. Keeping his mind sharp with activities like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes will further strengthen his bond with you.
