About WOLFIE > Bleeding Heart Society

Wolfie is a handsome, roughly one-year-old boy weighing in at 63 lbs. He's a very people-friendly pup who gets along well with children and hasn't shown any reactivity towards other dogs or cats. Wolfie is an athletic and high-energy companion, rating an 8 out of 10 on the energy scale, and he truly enjoys an active life filled with joyful play. He absolutely adores affection, happily accepting kisses, hugs, and snuggles, acting like a big baby who soaks it all in. Wolfie is also a gentle soul, even when taking high-value treats. Despite spending a good portion of his young life in isolation, he's a very smart boy who already sits on command without any formal training and is highly attuned to communication. His unique, coyote-like coloring makes him stand out, and everyone loves his gorgeous looks. Wolfie loves life, especially treats, walks, adventures, and attention, though he'd choose a walk or adventure over a treat any day! Like many Huskies, he's not a fan of being cooped up. He's fairly independent and has a knack for making you laugh. While he keeps his kennel clean and isn't messy, he hasn't had experience living in a house. With consistent structure, he's expected to adapt quickly to indoor living. He has no known storm or separation anxiety or behavioral issues. On walks, he's initially excited and takes time to explore, but once he's had his fill, he follows instructions well and doesn't pull much. Wolfie is also well-behaved in the car. He has a very high food drive and lives by the motto "no crumb left behind!" His prey drive is likely standard, with no unusual behaviors observed.

Ideal Home

Wolfie would do best with an active family or an individual or couple who enjoys activities like hiking and is eager to engage with him.

Ongoing Health

Wolfie has no known health concerns.

Training & Support

Wolfie has never lived in a house before, so he will need some time and patience to adjust to indoor living. He is expected to adjust well with a slow introduction.
