Ronda

In June 2025, this sweet brindle girl was found abandoned at a New York City Police Precinct. Her owner simply walked away, leaving her behind. Thankfully, she was brought to the New York Animal Care Centers, where a kind soul stepped in and saved her life. Ronda is an approximately 5-year-old, 50lb pit mix who has been spayed. She's a loyal and affectionate companion who loves to be by your side. Ronda is treat-motivated and gets very excited, often spinning and hopping when she's happy! She enjoys playing fetch, though you might need two toys as she sometimes forgets to let go. She’s also a big fan of walks and will happily follow you once the leash is in hand.

Ronda would thrive in a home with a spacious, fenced-in yard and a calm environment.

Ronda is spayed and appears to be in good health.

Training & Support

Ronda is housetrained. She is crate trained when guided with a treat but can be hesitant. She sometimes pancakes on the floor to avoid her crate/pen and can be nervous when strangers approach her den or crate. Ronda loves to play fetch but will need encouragement to release the toy.
