Mabel

Mabel is a 2.5-year-old, 64-pound pit bull mix who is spayed and vaccinated. She was found abandoned and frightened but has blossomed into a sweet, adoring dog who loves people and snuggling. Mabel is happy, outgoing, and particularly gentle and patient with children, including those with autism. She enjoys playing with medium to large dogs and car rides, and she thrives on attention.

Ideal Home

Mabel would do best in a home that can offer plenty of love, cuddles, and comfy spots for her to relax near her humans. She would likely thrive with a playful, tolerant dog companion of similar size or as the cherished only pet. A home without cats would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Mabel may need a little extra patience and support when it comes to certain vet procedures.

Training & Support

Mabel is still learning to recognize when playtime is over with other dogs and can sometimes pull on the leash when excited to greet other dogs on walks. She is making good progress with her leash manners. She is not a fan of crates and prefers to sleep cuddled with her people.
