Josie is a sweet and loving Staffordshire Terrier mix, estimated to be born on October 26, 2023, and weighing around 41 lbs. She's the perfect cuddle buddy for any occasion, enjoying playtime with her toys, snuggling with her foster siblings, sunbathing, and, of course, chicken nuggets! Josie has been a delight to her foster family, seamlessly acclimating into their home. She is potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows commands like "sit" and "stay." Her treat-motivated nature makes her eager to learn and be a part of your pack. Josie gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially playful ones, and loves nothing more than snuggling up on the couch for a nap. She's also a fantastic car rider, making every journey enjoyable! Josie was rescued from a county shelter where she was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding. She arrived as a neglect case, emaciated, but has come a long way and is now ready to find her forever home.
Ideal Home
Josie would thrive in a home where she can continue to be a cherished member of the family, enjoying cuddles and play. She has lived with children and done wonderfully with them.

Josie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is still working on gaining a bit more weight but is otherwise healthy and ready for her new home.
Training & Support
Josie is already kennel and potty trained and has a good grasp of basic commands like "sit" and "stay." Her treat motivation makes her an eager learner, so continued positive reinforcement training will help her excel.

Transportation
Josie is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee. Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary.
